Perfect conversion candiate...Beautiful Brazilian Rosewood back and sides that rivals the best Martin 0-45 from the 1920’s.
This is almost identical in size to a 1930' s Gibson L-00, L-1 or L-2. A perfect candidate for rebuilding this spectacular 1920's Brazilian Rosewood body into an L-00 Brazilian conversion. You can't find Brazilian of this quality today, anywhere
Straight grain with the rich chocolate color, great for an x braced conversion, a new build, or restoration.
Full sized, 25” scale, 14” width, 19” body length, 3 ¾” body depth puts this at a hair smaller than a Gibson L-00- it is not a parlor guitar. 2 lbs 9.7 oz put it in the featherweight category. 1.799” at the nut.
V sized neck feels full in the hand. Needs a neck reset, and sounds great even in its’ current condition.
Not Martin made, but no indication of who manufactured this beauty for SS Stewart. “Stand” ink stamped on the neck block. Contact me for an in-hand description.
Needs full restoration, not unusual for an acoustic guitar of this age. Non original hard case.
