D'Aleo's Vintage 9" by 13" Black naugahyde drum bag - unopened!

Here is a time capsule for the vintage drum collector - a new old stock black vinyl (Nagahyde) drum bag for a 9 by 13 tom.

Purchased from a very very old music store that went out of business (and had sat closed for many years) this bag is brand new but was probably manufactured in the 1960s.  Made by D'Aleo's of California in Gardena, this case manufacturer is long gone sadly, but their products were exceptionally well made and obviously left a lasting legacy. 

This particular bag has never been out of its original plastic.  Consisting of grained naugahyde to simulate leather, with brass rivets for strength where the handle attaches and a brass zipper, this case is ready to protect your old (or new!) tom providing lightweight and convenient protection for your precious tubs. 

I actually have a full set of vinyl cases  that serve as the inner protectors for my vintage drum set which is stored in a set of vulcanized fiber... the 1960s equivalent of the nice SKB cases of today.
