Welcome to Musicdungeon, you are looking at a great piece. This is the Vintage 1960's Epiphone Kalamazoo Howard Roberts Electric Guitar. 24.75" scale length. 1.69" nut width. .85" depth at 5th fret. 16" lower bout. 3.5" body depth.
We obtained this historic example from the original owner.
This is a beauty- built in Kalamzoo, arched top and back with some interesting grain patterns.
The top here is spruce and the sides are mahogany.
The woods have aged nicely here and the guitar was played, so they are seasoned in well also.
This sets the stage for an instrument with natural depth while retaining note articulation.
The floating mini humbucker in the neck is perfect for obtaining a nice 'jazz' tone. Roll back the tone control, and it's all right there.
A testament to the Kalamazoo builds, the one piece mahogany neck here has a thin feel- .85" deep at the 5th fret with an oval C profile.
The looks here is gorgeous- cherry sunburst finish, multi-ply body binding, bound fingerboard, bound soundhole, inlaid logo, raised guard, '175' style tailpiece, and chrome hardware.
The condition of this vintage 1960's Howard Roberts is very good overall - there is the typical finish crazing and wear as you can see in pics as well as the guard is warping(typical).
The frets here are clean and the neck is straight- set up with action of just about 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
