Up for sale we have this incredible Roland SH-1 synthesizer. It is monophonic like the Minimoog with a warm, punchy analog sound but distinctive Roland character. Featuring a single VCO, VCF, VCA, LFO, envelope generator, and built-in noise source, it's capable of everything from thick bass and screaming leads to atmospheric effects and classic electronic sounds. The simple panel layout of the SH-1 makes it especially fun to program. The hands-on controls allow you to shape the oscillator, filter, envelope, modulation, and tuning quickly without any menu diving of course.The key bed on this instrument is 32 full-size keys. On the output panel there are jacks for headphones, external control/CV & Gate capabilities. The power cable is hardwired and this unit was produced specifically for the US market running at 117V. This is a vintage instrument, so there are a few marks and signs of age. The worst of which is the right side panel but on the black it is hardly noticeable in most lighting conditions. Overall this example is in really excellent condition. The plastic was still on the knobs when it came in and I only realized while cleaning it up. Please carefully review all photos for the cosmetic condition. This unit was recently serviced to ensure all pots and switches are operating properly. It has not been restored but everything is fully functional. The SH-1 has become a sought-after classic, and these early Roland synthesizers have a character and experience that's difficult to replicate with modern instruments.Please feel free to ask any questions before purchasing.
