Welcome! Right now, you are looking at a super cool vintage reel to reel.
This is the Ampex 960!
Guilding the Ampex engineers who created the 960 was a dual objective - that of building a machine which was not only a superb example of their engineering skill, but one which would also offer you a range of capabilities far exceeding that of any other recorder made. The result was not merely an improved stereo recorder, but an entirely new concept in home entertainment!
This unit is in good overall condition, especially considering it's 60 years old!
It powers on, and the reels spin. I have no way to test the record function.
Featuring a frequency response of 30-15,000, 55dB, both 3.75 and 7.5 ips, one motor, and 7" reels.
Don't miss your opportunity to get your hands on a piece of recording history for the price you want.
Thanks for looking!
