This is a Tokai ALS 50 Love Rock Les Paul Standard copy, dated 1985. Made in Japan, highly sought after and very collectable. the tokai is to the best of my knowledge all original. it plays sound and feels fantastic with a very smooth comfortable med contour neck not to skinny or chunky. the case is from the 70/80's not sure of origin but does the job and looks great. the condition overall i feel is excellent considering its 30 yrs old.however take a look at the pics and and description and decide for yourself. obviously there is some surface wear to the paint which is to be expected and is as follows- neck and fretboard is clean so are frets with no visible sign of string wear.body sides clean, front of body has some very minor faint blemishes and one v small dint which are not noticeable unless you look for them.back has some paint rub and scratch marks which is always the case especially with black. all this is only age and player related from a guitar that has been used as it should and thats to entertain people.

SPEC AND DESCRIPTION- I have been advised it is an ALS model (see pics with page from tokai gakki 85/86 catalogue). the tokai spec is as follows-edge bound maple top on solid mahogany body-one piece mahogany vintage contour fixed heel neck with edge bound rosewood fretboard,scale length 24.75'' vintage stye tuners-2 x '57 vintage MK11 humbuckers- vintage style bridge & tailpiece- nitro cellulose black paint finish. WEIGHT 4KG NOTE-All Love Rocks with the "ALS" prefix are Korean. However, this change didn't occur until sometime in the mid 1990's, around 1995 or 96. Previous ALS models were made in Japan. which confirms this model from 1985 to be Japanese.
