Up
for sale is a Super RARE 1990 Rockoon Schaller Bass “RB-100R JJ”
in good working order. This is the Highest-end model of Kawai's
Rockoon Bass Lineup on their 1990's catalog (the original price
100000 JPY).
Features
laminated Rosewood Top&Back on a Sen Ash body, a deep jointed
Hard Maple Neck with Rosewood Fretboard, Schaller made Active Pickups
with a passive circuit with a master
volume, individual tone knobs and a balance control to blend between
pickups. Sounds and plays
great.
The
body has a some light scratches and a few buckle rash and a clearcoat
crack on the backside, a few dings on the side, a few small dings at
the edges of the top. It has some cracks in the clear coat around the
neck-end as pictured, but the cracks do not open the and the wood
doesn't move even if it gets tuning strings and plays as always. The
neck has a few pencil tip size dings around the edges of the
headstock. Otherwise very clean neck. Back of the neck smooth.
The
truss rod works fine at the either direction. It would reach the
limit soon at the clockwise direction but the neck is almost deadly
straight and it's very comfortable to play with low-action
(1.6mm/1.9mm @12th fret). The original frets are around
70% and in great shape with no deep grooves. The weight of the bass
is 4.22kg (9.30lbs). No case
included, but will be correctly packed for shipment.
I
pack carefully for a long journey!
