What makes this guitar special: Another spectacular creation from Gibson Acoustic in Bozeman, MT. This glorious J-200 features an absolutely stunning & magnificent abalone vine inlay running the entire length of the fingerboard & headstock. Abalone rosette, purfling & bridge inlay along with intricate Waverly butterbean tuners - all this wrapped up in a Jumbo body showcasing some jaw-dropping flame maple figuring. Not only is she a beauty to gaze upon, but the sound is truly amazing - big & boomy with tons of of sound projection. A Gorgeous beast ready for a new home.
Cosmetic Condition: Marvelous condition overall with only some minor nicks, dings & mild surface scratches. The adhesive holding the pickguard down is wearing out & so the guard is popping up a bit along the edges. It's still on pretty good, but at some point the pickguard will most likely need to be reglued.
Neck: Nicely rounded, maple neck with some gorgeous flame figuring. 3-ply cream binding with black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with magnificent abalone vine inlay. Frets are in great shape with no wear. 3-ply bound headstock with abalone vine inlays & mother of pearl Gibson script logo. Gold Waverly open-back tuners with intricate butterbean tuners. Gibson Custom Shop logo on the back of the headstock. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in fine working condition.
Body: Jumbo body with multiple binding & abalone purfling. Solid spruce top with multi-ring rosette & abalone inlay. Mustache bridge with mother of pearl & abalone block inlays. Cream end pins with abalone dot inlays. 2 1/4" string spacing at the bridge. 3-ply tortoise pickguard with vine motif. Highly figured flame maple back & sides with thick herringbone center strip. There is no pickup & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 13.5 oz.
Case: Original Gibson hardshell case included along with original paperwork.
