Here's a Indian made Taisho-Koto known in India as a Benjo. It has been modified to have an electric piezo pickup so you can run it into pedals or a frikkin Marshall stack! Most people would’ve stripped the paint off this thing and started from scratch but dang it I just thought it was too pretty. The case top has a hand painted goldfish scene and the playing area has chickens(?) there’s a lot of paint loss but I have carefully rebuilt the instrument and sealed the paint with lacquer. It should last for several decades now and fill your life with musical chickeny goodness.
It comes with a wrench for tuning it and is in good playable shape (its a very rustic Indian build). Occasionally the keys get stuck if you are “rocking out”. But it is definitely a very rare version of this instrument. I’ve been selling these things for years and I’ve never seen the special chicken/goldfish model!
