For sale rare Chervel/Jackson CHS4 bass, made in Japan in the late '80m which has been upgraded with USA Bartolini passive pickups, a brass nut and a luthier set up with ultra-low action.
The bass is in excellent technical conditions, with straight neck, low frets wear (frets show very little wear), good intonation and setup, smooth tuning keys and quiet electronics (controls are vol, vol, tone).
Weight is average (little over 4 kgs), neck got a beautiful natural yellow tint with aging, sound is really '80 punchy thanks to the reverse PJ Bartolini.
Cosmetically it is in very good conditions for it's age, neck is almost mint and there are only a few scratches on the lower back of the body.
Specs: American alder body, Canadian maple neck (nice quarter sawn), rosewood fretboard, USA Bartolini pickups, bridge made in Japan (by Gotoh). Original Jackson pickups are included
Fresh Dean Marley strings installed August 2020.
Will be shipped after August 24
