Forshage Single Cut Style - Piano Black with Pale Moon Ebony Board, Flame Maple Binding

Here I have the closest contender in my search to best my unicorn of a 2016 R8 - a tasteful wood showcase Les Paul homage from Mr. Forshage himself. Superb build quality, fit and finish as can be expected from Chris. She's got a hefty neck, very very close to that of my R8, with a bit more shoulder to it. The Pale Moon Ebony fretboard is wrapped on either side by some highly flamed maple binding. A flame maple headstock veneer is a nice, subtle touch surrounding the gorgeous abalone inlaid logo. The body and neck are mahogany, and An almost VOS finished black top and back accentuates the Pale Moon Board and allows it to steal the show. Scraped natural edge binding frames the body just right, and matches the solid maple knobs.

Tonally she's a monster. Almost identical in sound to the set of Custombuckers in my R8 but with a bit more hair, if you're into that sorta thing. Volume rolled back she's soft and sweet on a slightly driven amp, but full bore she's loud and proud with an edge of danger to her ;). I may be the only one who actually cares about this sort of thing, but the switch is SO satisfying on this guitar, super sturdy and solid feeling with some heft that makes it enjoyable to flip up and down. Odd, I know, but it's the little things that get me!

Conditionally she's sporting very minimal wear, with the worse offender in the form of a small dent at the pickup switch cavity at the back - which does not register, as you can tell by the photo. Zero fret wear on the stainless steel frets
