Rat amps modified Subzero 20R, basically a copy of a blues junior,modified by Rat amps, as new ,virtually unused.Mods as follows,1, Two mods to power supply-increased smoothing capacity for 'tighter bass ' and a safety resistor so t
he amp no longer holds its lethal charge when switched off .
2,all of the signal capacitors replaced with'orange drop'parts
3, output power reduction control located next to mains on/off switch(see rat amps web site for details
4,full lead dress- all transformer and heater wires in a valve amp must be tightly twisted or they will induce noise into the amp circuit.Twisting all of the wires and placing in correct location makes this amp quieter
5,input socket is a problem.It is PCB mounted and made from hard plastic.The first time you trip up over your guitar lead,you will destroy the input socket.It is then a major job to replace the socket as the amps PCB must be removed.The socket has been replaced by a quality part hat can be changed in 5 minutes if needed
Auto-bias,the amp will never need to be rebiased if any of the valves are changed.
7,carling off/standby/on mains switch fitted
8 heater voltage corrected
9 reverb tank replaced with accutronics short tank unit,10,ht and heater fuses fitted,11 footswitch with red led supplied,12,preamp valve heaters changed to dc,power valves are ac stops hum and buzz.Local pickup prefered as heavy,but will ship at buyers risk
