2018 Collings MT Amber gloss mandolin

Here’s a 2018 Collings MT A-style mandolin in custom gloss amber finish. The flame on this one is what particularly attracted me, as it’s a real stunner. It’s still a baby, in essentially new condition, sounding great - clear, loud, and rich in tone. This is the standard nut width model.

I only wish that I could play this thing as nicely as it wants to be heard. As a guitarist for 45 years, I got hooked on Sierra Hull, Chris Thile, and some others and made a go at it. But mandolins sound beautiful in other people’s hands, not mine. Regrettably, I’ll stick to my larger fretted instruments, which don’t humble me quite so much.
