The Tiny Terror Takes a Dark Turn

The original Orange Tiny Terror set the bar for portable, all-tube guitar amp heads. The Orange DA15H Dark Terror takes the popular series to new territory with darker, high-gain tones excellently suited for metal and other hard rock genres. This ruggedly constructed and easily portable head packs a 15-watt punch of pure tube tone for the studio, practice space, or small to mid-sized venues. For metal and other rock guitarists searching for the prized tone of the Tiny Terror with a gnarly twist, the Dark Terror is an easy choice.

Hear it in action with this video from Orange:

15 Watts of Pure Tube Tone

The Dark Terror DA15H features a tube complement of three 12AX7 preamp tubes and two EL84 power tubes for a serious wallop of full-bodied, vintage sound. Compared to the original Tiny Terror, the Dark Terror features an additional preamp tube for a total of four stages of gain. The result is a massive amount of gain for furious breakup and distorted thunder at any volume. While the tube-based circuitry ensures outstanding depth and clarity for cleans, the unique gain structure allows this amp to really make its mark with explosive overdriven textures.

Tools to Shape Your Sounds

Like the rest of the Terror series, the Dark Terror provides the ability to craft the perfect expression of your sound with a set of intuitive controls and features. Experiment with different balances of the volume and gain knobs to dial-in a wide range of tonal flavors from subtle cleans to the most aggressive of high-gain distortion. The additional "shape control" allows simple adjustment of the amp's EQ settings to further cater your sound. And like the original Tiny Terror, the Dark Terror is switchable from 15 to 7 watts to accomadate different various volume and power needs. Unlike the original Tiny Terror, the Dark Terror also sports a tube-driven effects loop to route in any number of pedals and outboard processors.
