About This Listing

A non-cutaway model, the Signature Concert Copper E has all the classic lines of a vintage acoustic guitar, with a modern secret weapon. The torrefaction process, with the European spruce top essentially roasted at the mill, makes it sound vintage, too. There's a sonic wow factor at work in the Signature Concert Copper E that can't be matched. The versatility and adaptability of the renowned Breedlove concert shape, developed 30 years ago and trusted ever since, is on full display, under a thin, shimmering Copper Burst semi-gloss finish no less. With no clear-cut woods, the Signature Concert Copper E harks back to the Golden Age of the acoustic guitar, while heralding a new one. Features Sustainable & Clear Cut Free
Made from sustainably-sourced exotic and native tonewoods. No clear-cut trees are used in these instruments. Breedlove uses salvaged and individually harvested timber and has deep relationships with responsible suppliers around the globe. As we move towards sustainability across all lines, owner Tom Bedell has visited 15 countries to discover exactly where the wood comes from, how it is selected and harvested, and how this affects the wildlife, the community, the forest and the planet. Concert Body Shape The Concert is our most popular body shape, favored by players because it is well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play, and offers all the qualities of a great sounding guitar. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy, but always felt. The Concert works well when played fingerstyle, as vocal accompaniment, or at a full strum. Real Solid Tonewoods for Superior Sound No Richlite or resin impregnated softwoods, no glue-heavy plywoods: just solid real tonewoods for real tone. Natural Sound Electronics New Breedlove Natural-Sound electronics with volume and tone controls, and easy battery replacement uses 2 x AAA batteries. Torrefied European Spruce As a guitar top, European spruce is powerful like Adirondack, clear like Sitka, and complex and responsive like Engelmann, all of which are employed in various Breedlove guitar lines. Torrefied European spruce graces the Artista, Performer and Signature Series in Breedlove's new Organic Collection of sustainably sourced, all solid wood guitars at revolutionary prices. Torrefaction, a thermal process that artificially ages the wood while also turning it more resilient, makes these instruments explode with vintage tone, singing like an old friend that's been played by a master for 30 years. With the Organic Collection three years in the making, Breedlove owner Tom Bedell literally climbed a mountain to be positive that the exotic FSC-certified tonewoods used in the assortment are harvested in responsible ways that respect the earth, while providing for superior tone that will last a lifetime. High in the windblown Swiss Alps, Bedell watched as European spruce trees were individually selected-each yielding many dozens of top sets-with an eye towards keeping the old growth stands robust for decades to come. African Mahogany Sometimes called khaya, African mahogany has a familiar crisp, clean and warm voice and boasts an impressive versatility, taking well to fingerpicking as well as to a more robust strumming attack without losing clarity. All mahogany instruments-like the Organic Collection Wildwood Series (which features sustainably harvested wood source from the Republic of Congo) offer a natural compression that delights blues players, folkies and singer/songwriters.
Versatile Play Style The Breedlove Play Style system was created to help you, the player, select your sound and playing style. Finding the most appropriate guitar to fit your sound requires finding not only the correct body shape, but the proper tonewood combinations to fit your style of play. Each Breedlove guitar is designed for a specific play style and sound, the Play Style systems assign a playing style icon to each instrument.
