Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Reverse Proto 1/100, Dennis Galuszka, John Mayer, SRV, Jimi Hendrix

Brief History of this how the Reverse Proto came to be:
Fender made a handful of Reverse Prototype guitars in the 80s as a potential Jimi Hendrix tribute strat. His family never agreed to license his likeness for them so the project was scrapped. Stevie Ray Vaughan bought one at a music shop in Minnesota and began playing it live. He even used it in the music video for Pipeline with Dick Dale. John Mayer purchased one of the originals and brought it up to the Fender Custom Shop. Dennis Galuszka ended up making a limited run of 100 replicas of Mayer's. A DVD interview is included in the case that explains the project. You can see Mayer using his with the John Mayer Trio, and he was also featured with it on the cover of Guitar magazine.

If you are a fan of Jimi Hendrix, SRV, and John Mayer this is a guitar for you.  It is a closet classic so there is beautiful finish checking and a few small dings, etc. I tried to capture them all in the pictures, but feel free to reach out with any questions.
