About This Listing

Wow! A whole lot of guitar here for the bucks! Brian Moore guitars came on strong a few years back offering great guitars with upscale appointments and specs at very competitive prices. They were built well and featured top notch hardware and pickups. I hardly see them anymore which is a shame as they were really nice for the bucks. This MC1 is a great example of the early breed and looks like it was one of the first ever made with a 156# stamp. It's a doublecut shaped body for big tone and warm sustain. The body is made of mahogany and features a gorgeous contoured figured Green maple top. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.

The first instrument design by Brian moore was the MC/1, a joint design effort between Moore and Cummings, (hence the "MC" model name). Brian created an ergonomic neck thru 'form' made of advanced composite materials with a simple curved top. Kevin Kalagher continued to push the company towards the 'high end' guitar business. He encouraged to Patrick refine the design of the guitar for the most discriminating players. Only the highest figured tops were used and only using the finest components such as Seymour Duncan pickups, Sperzel tuners and Wilkinson vibratos. Other design refinements include the "innovative rear output jack" and "sculpted headstock".

This Brian Moore plays and sounds great. The action is good, the frets are full, and the neck is straight. The pickups deliver a variety of tones and the electronics work as they should. A nice performing guitar. This is a solid under the bed instrument. Absolutley immaculate and in collectors condition. Comes in a hardshell case with some paperwork.

This is a killer guitar for not a lot of money. You're not likely to see another anytime soon either. It looks like Brian Moore Guitars has either went out of business or seriously cut down on their visibility.
