Really unique hand built boutique Moonstone guitar built by Moonstone employee from reclaimed materials. It was built by a friend who worked for Moonstone in 1984. He designed and built the guitar from materials around the shop and was authorized to use the name and labels to make it a “real” Moonstone despite not being a production model.
- Eastern Hard rock Maple neck - African Padauk body - Ebony Fingerboard with Abalone “Starflake” inlays - Dunlop Jumbo nickel frets - Quan badass bridge (gold) - Gotoh mini tuners - Bill Lawrence “Pre-Vintage” humbucker - Allen-Bradley MOD Pot controls - Stars Guitars speed knobs - western maple burl headstock cap - Padauk truss rod cover
It’s a set neck through body so the neck and body center are one piece.
It’s a double cutaway style with a mirror double cut at the bottom for decreased weight and ergonomics. Based on the Vulcan or maybe Eclipse model I believe.
Comes with the pictured moonstone paperwork and decals. I’ll ship it in the hard shell case, but be aware the case is pretty busted. Fine for shipping but handle is broken and cover material is peeling so it’s no added value.
42.95mm nut width 21.18mm depth at first fret 47.88mm width at 5th fret 22.12mm depth at 5th fret 52.48mm width at 12th fret 22.44mm depth at 12th fret 56mm width at 20th fret Body is 25.83mm thick overall.
It’s worth noting that the neck measurements were taken with the strings on.
