The LTD SC-608B is Carpenter's latest model, a Fishman Fluence-equipped behemoth that features a 27" baritone scale length for optimal string tension and a Hipshot bridge for ultimate playing comfort.
Construction
The ESP LTD SC-608B features a Mahogany body that is perfect for accentuating the bass response from the lower strings, and serves as an excellent tonal foundation for the active pickups. The body is paired with a bright-sounding, thin "U"-shaped Maple neck which ensures that some crucial top-end snap pierces through. This helps to keep the instrument sounding clear and defined even with ultra high-gain amp settings.
To maintain the sleek aesthetic, the SC-608B's neck is adorned with a luscious Macassar Ebony fingerboard that feels super-smooth under the fingers. Fitted with 24 extra-jumbo frets, these will enable superb vibrato and string bending control.
Electronics & Hardware
A set of Carpenter's signature Fishman Fluence pickups are fitted in the ESP LTD SC-608B, giving the instrument a monstrous, high-fidelity sound. Hundreds of renowned players have jumped onboard the Fishman bandwagon, but there's a reason for that! They just sound incredible for high-octane metal, and crystal-clear for cleans.
