Yamaha BB3000A 1986 Cream White Active MIJ Bass Guitar

The Yamaha Broad Bass BB3000A, the active version of the original BB3000, is at the top of the famous Yamaha Broad Bass line. The BB3000A is very versatile and delving into its classic pre-amp tones is a pleasure. The Yamaha Broad Bass BB series basses are highly appreciated by professional bassists, even after they moved production to Taiwan.

On the back the headstock is an inscription you can see tilted in the light, but that doesn’t photograph, that says “Made in Japan”, and has the serial number OJ28043, which indicates it was made in March, 1988 and was the 28,043th Yamaha guitar of any model made since the E3 serial numbering scheme was started in late 1984.

This BB3000A bass guitar is all-original and in Excellent condition. There are some small scratches at the top of the headstock and a few minor scuffs but it is very clean for any year, and it was made in 1988! The fabulous-sounding thru-neck is straight, the frets are good and the electronics all work well and sound great. Comes with a gig bag.

This beautiful Cream White 1988 MIJ BB3000A active bass guitar has alder wings on a five-piece maple/mahogany thru-body neck and has a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with beautiful pearl split-oval inlays. The P/J-style pickups are controlled by two volume knobs and bass/treble EQ knobs for the active pickups.
