Van Dyke-Harms Hand Crafted Knob Set, Heavy Knurl, Custom, Stainless

These knobs are what started it all for Van Dyke-Harms around 2010, and after many requests from our customers, we're proud to be offering them again!  We craft these one set at a time on a manual lathe for our custom instruments, and no two sets are exactly alike.   All of the texturing is done by hand, and yields a positive, yet pleasant grip.  While the originals utilized a single set screw, we wanted to design a system that allowed equally perfect mounting on solid shaft and split shaft pots, and eliminate the lack of concentricity when a split shaft pot is slightly bent (which most of them are). The brass barrels have two set screws to correct any sideways cant that may be present, and work very well when centered with the cut in a split shaft pot. After you get the barrels situated the way you want them, simply slip the knob over the outside and press them down as far as you see fit!
