Wonderful, near-mint condition example of an uncommon instrument. I’m not listing this as “mint” because I’m the second owner, but there isn’t a flaw on this bass that I can find. Neck is straight, true, and nick-free, frets have next to no wear, truss rod has plenty of action, and the paint job is flawless. Comes with the OHSC as well that is undamaged but had a couple of stickers on it at some point in its life as well as a couple of minor paint scuffs. EBMM serial number lookup dates this to February 2013. The build code identifies the color as “Candy Red” and the pickguard material as “White Pearloid”.
The tonal versatility of this bass is really out of this world. Any of the pickups can be switched on or off independently of each other, and all combinations are wired in parallel. If all the pickups are switched off, the middle and bridge pickup remain on, but in series. Add the active/passive preamp and a passive tone control and the world is your oyster! And even though the pickups are single-coils, it’s been dead silent for me, no hum active or passive.
