Here’s an ESP “The Eclipse” from the ESP Japan factory. I believe the year to be 1991. It has an original Floyd Rose that stays in tune great. Neck is a thin and fast. It has Jumbo frets which show little to no wear.
There are light marks, light dings, and scratches throughout the guitar. There are 2 small pinhead sized dings which go though the finish. Some very light marks on the back of the neck. Plastic jack plate has some cracks on the edge near the screw holes. Fretboard markers were touched up with glow in the dark nail polish to brighten them up for dark stages. Easily removed with fingernail polish remover should you wish to get back to the original mother of pearl. Some finish wear and oxidation on the hardware.
Neck pocket is clean with no cracks or weirdness. I find no signs of any repair work being done on the guitar anywhere, other than the pickups and electronics being swapped out at some point. Pickups are unknown, but sound pretty good. The guitar will ship with Schaller strap locks installed on it.
The original ESP case is in decent shape. Some nicks and bruises here and there, that can be seen in the photos. Nothing major.
I would classify the wear as average for a near 30 year old guitar. Definitely not abused, and imho the light wear really adds to the charm of the instrument. It doesn’t seem like it was used a whole lot due to the condition of the frets.
She’s not a case queen, but man....she is a great player! I’m pricing the guitar accordingly.
I will ship using Reverb Shipping Protection and pack her up like she's headed for a war zone.
