G&L SB-2 Unlined Fretless bass USA 1996 White
Comes with a G&L hard case in perfect shape.
This SB-2 has an added tone control.
So, the two knobs are:
1) Concentric - Outer Volume, Inner tone.
2) Pickup blend.
The bass has a pronounced punchy delivery.
The body is mahogany.
Fingerboard is Brazilian Cherry.
The bass weighs around 11 pounds.
1.5" nut. Basically a Jazz bass neck. Although it is slightly slimmer across the 'board at the 12 fret.
It is actually fractionally over 2 1/8" at the 12th versus 2 1/4" for a fretless Jazz bass I have.
This makes it very playable.
The unlined fingerboard is in perfect shape.
The bass had a string tree added to the face of the headstock.
There are some light marks to the white finish that are not serious, but can be seen under close inspection.
There is a small nick on the inside of the top cutaway.
It is currently strung with La Bella Tapewound strings (50-105).
