This beautiful silver plated tuba will satisfy even the best of players. This is a BBb tuba with a dark, deep low register and a beautifully singing high register. Low range is easily accessible and the sound will fill a room. The high register is brilliant providing an excellent solo voice. All 3 valves have a bore of .728 inches, each of which is incredibly responsive. This gorgeous tuba has a height of 41" top to bottom, weighing in at 18 lbs. The metal used for this tuba is incredibly durable with only a few very minor dents. The tuba is 4/4 and has a bell diameter of 17 1/2". The tuning slide will need cleaned and greased, but the intonation is currently spot on. All other slides and valves move quickly and easily. Finally, this magnificent tuba not only serves as a great foundation for a band or orchestra setting, but the movable lead pipe allows this tuba to be used as a marching instrument as well. While the tuba is used, it is in excellent condition and plays very well.
