About This Listing

The Legends of Fuzz Series from JHS Pedals brings several vintage fuzz tones to life with four all-new pedals, paying tribute to the effects that helped shape the sound of countless classic records.

The Supreme is JHS Pedals' take on the Univox Super-Fuzz, an octave-up fuzz with made-in-Japan roots. This is a vibrant, lively octave fuzz that's made for loud, high-gain playing. Volume and Expand are you controls, with Expand controlling fuzz level. Plus, there are two side-mounted buttons on the Supreme: Tone and Mode. Tone is a mid-cut control, and Mode activates a "JHS Mode", which increases the octave-up effect and thickens up the midrange. If you love vintage-style octave-up fuzz, then the Smiley is an excellent choice.

Product Overview
Seattle grunge greats Mudhoney named their debut album after two fuzzes: the Big Muff and the Super-Fuzz. Originally built by Shin-Ei and sold under a number of brand names, including Univox, the Super-Fuzz is a gnarly octave-up fuzz unit. JHS' Supreme is an exact replica of an original Univox Super-Fuzz. Like its predecessor, the Supreme offers rich, screaming fuzz tones with an octave-up overtone. And the switchable "JHS Mode" lets you get an even more pronounced octave effect, if you dare.
