Very interesting, fine and old professional violin, labelled as Joseph Frank,Bürgerlicher Geigenmacher in Linz, 17**.Typical example of very skilled individual workmanship in Austrian traditions c1790.Back size 36.2 cm, that is very typical sign of that time and area, most famous maker from Linz - Meinrad Frank (Jalovec says probably they were brothers) also made instruments approx at that size.
The sound is very good - very mature and sweet, with excellent projection, full range of tonal spectrum, very powerful with good amount of darkness for G string.. It has enough projection for playing solo, made for player - very comfortable to play, if you once try it you're in love with it.
Setup is not new, but fully functional. Our luthier carefully checked violin, so there is no need to check by luthier again in a nearest future.
Overall in a good state of preservation for it's age, some very old stable repairs (see photos) , ready to play professionally. Brand new case included.
