One of the key causes of tuning frustration is string binding at the nut. TUSQ XL nuts alleviate the binding grip of the nut on the string by reducing friction between the nut material and the string. As strings move across a TUSQ XL nut, they shear open microscopic "capsules" loaded with Teflon lubricant. Teflon is 500% more slippery than graphite and is impregnated throughout the TUSQ XL material so its lubricating properties will never wear out.
