About This Listing

It's an amazing thing to remember how large the world of instruments are, and I encourage all musicians to continue to expand their horizons to the smaller luthiers who may not have become as well known in the flux and hurdles of life. Here we have a guitar that has an exceptional sound, built by Adrian Magan Jimenez and dated 1960 - little is known of this builder, but it is clear that this guitar was and is a serious instrument destined to find a serious player. Spruce top adorned with a hand done rosette, and rosewood binding. Present center seam separation on top, as well as cleated repair on the treble side. 9 fingered fanned bracing is unique, and not heavy, resulting in a substantial amount of volume. Back & sides are a nicer straight grained Brazilian rosewood, that does have some previously sealed heavy cracks. Rosewood bridge with bone tie-block, and nut (relatively low nut height, in need of a neck reset). Mahogany neck is thin and comfortable, and has a uniquely cut Spanish heel. 654mm Scale length, 1 15/16" nut width. Ebony fingerboard, with frets with very little wear. Engraved tuners with original pearloid buttons.
