This listing is for an extremely limited edition amplifier released by Laney a few years back to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Black Sabbath and Laney Amplification. I’m sure most of you reading this know exactly what you are looking at. Only 50 were made and only 5 were delivered to the USA. This is number 50 of 50.
The amplifier is 100 watts of tube power, hand wired in England and is an exact recreation of the LA100BL amplifiers that Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler used on the first few Black Sabbath albums and tours. This particular re-creation was commissioned by Iommi for the last Black Sabbath tour in which he bought 13 of these.
The pedal that is included is a signature pedal that replicates Iommi’s original modified Dallas Rangemaster treble booster that pushed the front end of the amp and created that Sabbath sound. The pedal is also #50 of 50, but the 4x12 speaker cab is #48. I’m pretty sure no one in this country was sent the matching cab because I’ve talked to three other owners and we all seem to have unmatched cabs. It’s just how it happened at the time.
The amplifier comes with its original manual and paperwork, including the certificate of authenticity signed by Tony Iommi himself.
The condition of the amp is like-new, excellent. I’d like to say mint condition, but I’m sure there’s probably a few tiny imperfections somewhere cosmetically, although nothing comes to mind. It’s only been played for minimal hours and is one of the greatest sounding amps I’ve ever heard, and I’ve owned just about every legendary amp at some point. The cleans are incredible, and I really like playing a bass through it as well.
If someone is interested in shipping and will do the work to find a shipper who will properly box this and ship it, I will work with them to get it done. But as of right now, I’m just not in a position to box and ship it because of the size of the speaker cab, etc.
