I wanted to build a guitar that hadn't an ounce of unnecessary craft, but that met my absolute highest standards in terms of sound and playability. The Best Worst has a pine body, a 60's Newporter neck, refretted, 25 1/5 inch scale, 7.25 inch radius, maple with rosewood veneer cap, and Gotoh tuners. Both pickups are true vintage, made by Fender in the fifties for lap or pedal steels. Through body, compensated bridge. Controls are volume, tone, and blend, with a push push selecting the primary pickup. The two pickups together are hum cancelling.The finish is oil. $85 fixed shipping to the continental US.
