This is a brand new Craviotto 5.5x14 Private Reserve solid steam bent Cedar snare drum. Cedar is a warmer, slightly darker sounding wood. It’s not a typical wood for drums at all, but it sounds nice. I’m not aware that Craviotto built any other Cedar snares, but there may be a couple out there. This one was built in March of 2019 and has been in my office since then. There are two small scratches in the panel by the Private Reserve badge. These are normally $1750 but this one has been reduced due to the slight marks.
