About This Listing

Never say Never!  I purchased this guitar at Sam Ash Music in New York City in May of 1980 as a new "demo" in order to give me special price.  The salesman told me a very famous guitarist  ( EC was there, so.) came in to play it a live demo/performance (who knows?) and they were able to sell this new guitar as a demo.  I have the original receipt (see picture)  This is ES-335 Pro was production #59 built in Gibson's Kalamazoo, MI plant on November, 26th 1979.  Rare indeed as it came from the factory with dot inlays and Gibson's famous High Output Dirty Fingers humbuckers.

Super clean and 100% All original, unmolested as it came from the plant.

I said I would never sell this very special guitar, but alas, it has sat in its original case 99% of its life.   The wood and tone is amazing condition with the benefit of aging in a air conditioned and smoke free environment.  There are strap lock on it, but the originals are also included. Probably the lowest fastest action you will ever play. There are no issues at all but it is still a 40+ year old guitar.  The case has some age/wear to it from age.  The handle has been replaced and some of the tolex is loose but can be mended. ( see pictures).  If you have any questions or would like any more pictures, please ask before you bid.   I hope this special guitar goes to someone that will appreciate what it is.

Respectful offers will be seriously considered.
