Here is a real head turner of a headless guitar, built by Luthier Nic Delisle of Island Instrument Manufacturer in Montreal, Canada. The Espeto model once known as the Traveller for its portable size, is small in stature but quite the opposite in its tonal capabilities and feel. This incredible envelope pushing headless guitar features a 23.5” scale-length (right under the scale-length of a Fender Jaguar) The guitar is very comfortable to play with its 1 11/16” wide nut and 12" radius fingerboard. The Espeto (this one in particular) is an extremely well balanced guitar seated or standing. The model has been Island's top seller since its release. The tone of the Mojo UK Hersheybucker Neck Pickup (inside Gold-Foil cover) is rich and sparkly with beautiful fidelity to the notes and a very dynamic single coil clarity without the shrillness or hum. The pickup itself is essentially a mid output Hum-bucker based on the vintage Dearmond “Hershey Bar” pickup design. You will be quite intrigued with its warm inviting tone; just astounding. Lots of tonal possibilities to discover in this guitar; which is the first to feature a full-size P-90 in the bridge. You can go from nice fat Single-Coil cleans to roaring lead tones just using the volume knob, which incorporates a stacked pot so that you can also adjust your tone from it. Nice and neat, no cluttered controls on this well thought-out instrument. The first Redwood Top Espeto (then called the Traveller) was a one pickup model and was featured with high praise in "The Fretboard Journal" magazine. This guitar takes that guitars concept one step further wit its vast tonal capabilities. In overall great playing condition with light signs of use to the finish.
