About This Listing

1960’s Vox Echo Deluxe V837 Solid State Tape Echo for sale.
This is an American made Vox Echo, 110V with an American plug.
These tape echoes are incredibly hard to find.

The sound is warm and lush with amazing 60’s mojo. Beautiful, just beautiful.

The Vox Echo Deluxe is a Thomas Organ design, hand wired and probably only a few of these are still in existence. This one is in great condition; some small marks as you can see in the pictures but on the inside it was completely original/untouched before servicing.

The unit has been serviced and repaired with new caps, cleaned, a new piece of felt on the tension spring and a fresh tape loop. I’ll add the old tape loop for you to compare.

Configuration:
The Echo has a record/erase head and 6 playback heads.
Reverb enables the 2nd playback head.
Echo enables the 4th playback head.
Answer enables the 6th playback head.
Roll enables the first 5 heads in decreasing volume.
