Sergei de Jonge is a luthier from Canada, and enjoys a worldwide reputation for his great steelstring and classical guitars. He is seen as the most important Canadian luthier of the moment. His instruments are built with a meticulous eye for detail.
This is a top class Sergei de Jonge Standard. This guitar is sized roughly between an OM and a dreadnought; perfect for both fingerstyle and strumming, powerful but also perfectly balanced. A beautiful Macassar ebony back and sides are tuned with a bearclaw spruce top, mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge.
This 2018 Sergei de Jonge Standard is in excellent condition. There are some small dings and hairlines in the lacquer on the top, and light playwear is visible on the back of the sound box. However, the guitar is very clean and comes in a case.
