Ahhhhh, the undisputed king of tube power, The Fender PS 400. Introduced in 1970, the all tube bass head could output an earth shattering 480 watts of power through three of these large 1x18 cabs. What was almost as monstrous as the tone was the price! In 1970 the cabs sold for $500 each, equivalent to $3,300 in today’s dollars. Were these a good investment? No. Do they sound amazing and look great? Absolutely!
This is an early cab dating to likely the first of second year of production and appears to be all original including the 18” Fender speaker which is in excellent condition. The grill cloth is discolored but intact and the tolex has some scuffs and rips but nothing excessive. The wear appears typical for a cab of its age but in no way looks abused.
This is a large cab and will not ship. I’m listing it as local pickup only and have heads you may use to try it out.
