Selling (sigh...) totally Modded Apex 460...The last of my guns and this one's the biggest one. Excellent condition. Used about a year on only very special projects in Los Angeles with some excellent singers.
Mods include: * "Fox mod" circuit board with audiofile-grade components by Microphone-parts parts.com (They did most of the mod and it is thoroughly tested); *Modified Mic Transformer; *Modified PSU; * Peluso CEK-12 Capsule; * Hand selected for low noise EH6072A tube; *Aftermarket head basket...keeps the sound from being impeded by the cross-member "stock" headbasket...
This mic is really killer, on par with the true "big boys"...In the past, I used to rent the "big boys" for major projects but found that this easily holds it's own and costs a total of 4 day's rental :-) :-)....And now it's yours:-) :-)
I have about $1,100.00 and found that with one child and preparing for triplets, I only used it sparingly and carefully. I only held onto it this so long because I loved it and didn't want to see it go!
