Using no capacitors in the audio path, the 312A has an incredibly punchy sound that lets transients through untouched, making this module a favorite for recording drums and percussion. Jensen transformers on input and output mean the 312A has a very clean, transparent sound, and with up to 66dB of gain on tap it's got enough juice for even your lowest output ribbon microphones on quiet sources.
