My husband purchased this awesome banjo as a gift for me in 1978. After about 6 lessons I realized I was not a musician, but kept and cherished it all these years! Its longtime for it to be in the hands of someone who will use it as it was intended! I learned from speaking to three banjo professionals that the Ibanez Banjos produced during this time are a highly prized and "most desirable" banjo due to superior craftsmanship during that time, in Japan. As one gentleman stated, "If I was a kid looking for a starter banjo, I'd kill to have a vintage model like the Ibanez Artist. Serialized instruments also carry more weight because entry-level models usually don't have them. I'm impressed by the sheen on the pot's metal parts, its a good looking instrument." My husband and I agree! If you are interested, we are happy to answer any additional questions.
