This is an absolutely beautiful mandolin, and at this price a good buy. Yes, even after 21 years (it is a 1999) we are describing its condition as "excellent". Were it not for some rather light fretwear, we would even call it "mint."  Mark Bluett makes some very fine instruments. It features a hand carved solid spruce top and solid flamed curly back, sides and neck. Ivoroid top, back and soundhole bindings and lovely inlay work, including an abalone soundhole rosette. 1-1/8" nut width, flat (non-radius) ebony fretboard. In impeccable condition! This came to us with a Fishman bridge pickup and carpenter jack and previously we listed and pictured it that way. But we did not care for the appearance of that, so we put on a new adjusted ebony bridge as pictured--much preferred!  Comes with a top quality rectangular case.
