Beautiful guitar, in good original condition, played but not abused. Nicks and scratches that come from a 22 year old guitar, but no breaks to the body or neck. Featherweight Korina body delivers the tone that these guitars are famous for. Made in Korea in 1998, this is a quality set neck screamer.
Gold hardware, lots of pitting and patina, lends to the vintage vibe. One replaced tuner (with correct gold tulip Grover style tuner, I'll throw in the other 5 from the replacement set I bought), not sure if the tailpiece is original, but it looks great on the guitar. Humbucker pickups are strong and potent - probably replacements as the original issue had gold covers. Not sure the brand but they sound great. Major punch with tons of thrust and fat tone.
The finish is in great shape. Someone put "In Memory of" stickers on it (since removed) that have left a bit of a silhouette - only visible in the right light and at certain angles.
As a note, while both pickups are strong are work fine, you have to find the right "blend" on the volume pots to get a good balance when using both pickups. Has never presented a problem on stage, but hard to explain, and I'd be happy to do a little video describing the process. 3-way switch was recently replaced, aged switch tip is from an old Les Paul Historic. Abalone headstock logo is stunning.
There are a couple of extra strap peg screw holes, seems like previous owner didn't know exactly where he wanted them. Also, each pickup ring is missing ONE gold screw.
Guitar is awesome player. Frets are in terrific shape, with lots of wear left. Neck is wide and flat and action is low and smooth. I just set it up and intonated it and put Ernie Ball .09 Super Slinkys on it (my string of choice). Could probably benefit from a heavier gauge, your choice. I have a set of .10s I'll throw in if you want them. Looks great, plays great and has a cool retro Jetsons vibe that I love - and so will you! Case is the original huge Epiphone case, so shipping will be a wee bit higher than usual. Insured FedEx to your door in the lower 48 is a flat $100.
