Suhr Custom Classic T is a guitar that has been developed from the results of John Suhr’s own explorations into tone, hardware and colour that meet his own ideas of what makes an excellent, special guitar.

John’s mantra when dreaming up these guitars is ‘form follows function’: playability and practical application are as important as beautiful looks and bold design. Each of these Suhr guitars are born directly from the mind of a master guitar builder.

This stunning T Classic displays lots of excellent design features that give it its own identity. Starting with the wood choices and construction, this has a body made of Mahogany for a highly resonant, fifties referencing base tone. A Vintage trans Cherry colour and Chrome hardware finishes the look brilliantly.This trans top colour let's the Beautiful Mahogany woodgrain show through.

The bolt-on neck is a beautiful piece of Mahogany carved into an even C shaped fat profile. The fingerboard is a lovely piece of Indian Rosewood with a rolled edge and a compound radius of 9-12”. This makes playing extremely comfortable whether you are chording or executing technical passages. 22 heavy stainless steel frets will give you a lifetime of service. To cap off this great neck, John has gone for Suhr’s Hybrid headstock design, a perfect choice that echoes the design decisions made for the body.

For this Custom T Classic, John has chosen two S90 single coils, Suhr’s take on vintage P90s. Full of character and expression, these pickups sound incredible and are enhanced by the use of an SSCII circuit for getting rid of background hum. There really isn’t any style out there that you can’t turn your hand to with this guitar, such is the versatility of tone available. A Hipshot Hardtail bridge and Suhr’s own locking tuners finish off an impressive collection of hardware.
