About This Listing

Flames. Flames everywhere! Most beautiful guitar I’ve ever seen.

I have an email from PRS confirming this was a marketing model Prototype. And I can’t seem to correct the 2004 error when I made this ad. It was built in 2009, used for a marketing campaign in 2010, the 25th anniversary. All that can be verified.

Everything is unique, weighs under 7lbs, sustains all day. Honduran rosewood board, gorgeous tuner keys, perfect flamed maple bound neck, absolutely unheard of flamed mahogany body. The front of this guitar is stunning but the back sets her apart from almost any I’ve ever seen. Make sure you zoom in on the neck and back pics! She is the “Tiger shark”

Note the “Proto” on the headstock!

25th anniversary case and Narrowfield pickups that look killer, bite like top end P90s. Unbelievable range between pickup positions and control from your volume and tone knobs. It’s absolutely ridiculous and more, when you’re talking big bucks, completely unique. There’s a couple pick marks that are almost invisible but she’s close to perfect. 2 additional truss rod covers. I’m dying parting with this guitar, I traded a custom shop blackie, really nice LP and more for it, it’s a fund the bathroom remodel or get a divorce sale. Kidding... kinda😀 Only played lightly in my studio. Make me a real offer. Open to local trades. I charge for shipping because you don’t pay tax on shipping, and the insurance on this will cost a mint

Note: These don’t have any official denotation other than prototype and it varies, but most prototypes are equivalent to private stock, wood library, as you can see. This was confirmed by the PRS rep, who said “that neck and back are as wood library as we make”!
