Anyone who’s seen Green Day’s Revolution Radio tour will recognize this guitar. This Epiphone Les Paul Special was the guitar played all over the world by Billie and one lucky fan for the song “Knowledge”. From Columbus, Ohio to Mexico City, Mexico this guitar was played by over 100 die hard fans.
Guitar was signed by the band February 20th, 2020 to be sold with the proceeds going to The ALS Association, Golden West Chapter to honor Kim Shattuck’s memory. The sale coincides with the Celebrate the Life of Kim Shattuck show at the El Rey Theatre on March 15th.
Guitar has a few mods: better tuners, a Mojotone ‘56 Quiet Coil pickup, Gibson wraptail and modded wiring.
The Muffs was the 1st band I worked for after moving to California in 1993. Kim was also in The Pandoras and Pixies.
