Here is an EKO cobra bass circa 1965. These basses are pretty rare, made in Italy and very well crafted. The bass is completely original if you put the pick guard (which I am including) back on. I replaced the pick guard with a handmade 3 ply copy due to the three chips in the original. Besides that, the bass is in great shape. The finish is really nice on the front, with minor dings and light checking. The back is more heavily checked and with more scuffs.
The neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard, dot inlay, 22 frets including a zero fret. 30" short scale. The action is low, and fast, very thin with 1 1/2" at the nut and 1 7/8 at the heel. The neck is similar in feel to hagstroms and framus broomsticks. The bass has a gorgeous headstock with great tuners and logo. The back of the neck as some checking in the lacquer finish.
The electronic work as they should with two single coil chrome faced pickups, single tone and volume controls with original knobs and pickup select switch with original knob.
All chrome tailpiece in great shape, adjustable bridge with no pitting.
The bass weighs in at 6 pounds, you can play this one all night long.
Comes with new gig bag.
