I bought this Fender American Special to play in church. I have ended up playing acoustic all the time, so this bass has seen very little playing time. Selling to add funds to my G.A.S. problem. A couple little BB dings on this one but no worries, still an awesome finish & gorgeous candy apple red.
Some very nice upgrades ...I replaced the original Gotoh bridge with a high mass HipShot bridge that adds more punch... $100. I also added a thumb rest made of real ebony from England ... $30. The pickups are new Custom Shop '60s... $115. Cut & paste the links below to hear the Custom Shop 60 pickups.

The American Special is typically not sold with a hard case so I added a
Fender SKB Molded J/P Bass Case with TSA locks. I had it professionally setup before putting up for sale. This is a super nice bass. You will not be disappointed.
$1300 in it... asking price is a steal.
