Bowl-back, Turtle-back, Potato-bug...no matter what you call this style of mandolin, this instrument is beautiful and in reasonably good playing condition. Some nicks and scratches, but no cracks or splits found, front or back. Headstock has a ‘gouge’(see pic), but strictly cosmetic in nature. Some worm gears look to have been replaced. Needs a new set of strings, as the octave ‘D’ string is missing. Also missing one collar on one of the ‘E’ keys. No case included, but will package and ship with great care.
