Studio Electronics Boomstar VCA2

The VCA2 from Studio Electronics is a dual function, high quality VCA for audio or CV that features level control which is great for making a CV modulation chain: Patch the 1st (controlling) modulator to the CV input, and the 2nd and 3rd (the controlled) modulators to inputs A and B; at which point the output can be patched to a modulation target like an oscillator or filter frequency. This approach is also effective for enveloping an LFO, or dynamically modulating an LFO or envelope with key velocity, key tracking, modwheel, etc. Users can even break away from the highly colored Mini-flavored character of the Studio Electronics AMP with this quad op-amp alternative for a cleaner, sharper tone in the near final stages of synthesis.
