Alvarez - Yairi DY-40 Sweet Playing Guitar

This is a very playable guitar with a light touch, and a bright sound. I used this guitar in many shows, but mostly with a Bill Lawrence pickup in the soundhole. The video shown here is from the famous Floyd Country Store and I selected it so you could hear the guitar mic'd through a Shure SM-57. It has a few surface blemishes on the top, but they are very small. It has a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, rosewood bridge, rosewood finger board, solid mahogany neck. It works well for home recording, using a condenser mic. I'm selling it to help pay for a Gurian guitar I've been chasing for 40 years, and found right here on Reverb. It will ship with the hardshell case you see in the second picture. It's a good case, much better than the SKB case you see in the last picture. The action is already excellent, but you can see from the photograph there is plenty of saddle if you want a different setup. The truss rod works.
